Description
Hi! Giacomo and Francesco share a quiet single parents life. Giacomo is about 8 and France is 4 years old. They stay half a week at dad's place and half at mum's. Relationship between father and mother is very good. We are all Italian and living in The Netherlands, the children are going to a Dutch international school and follow the lessons in English. So, the languages at home are English (for all which relates to school) and of course Italian. Language outside school and family is Dutch, of which the children have a little knowledge. Giacomo is a borderline "special need" boy, he has a permanent assistant at school but still able to follow mainstram course. Giacomo is emotional and deep in his thoughts, tough slow in reading, speaking and using information. His logic is excellent. He is cross eyed from birth and has difficulties with hand manipulation and eye coordination. Francesco is opposite. He's phisically talented and very quick in everything he does. Competition arises often, as it's logical. Both children share an acute sens of humour, as you may see from pictures. Giacomo has to follow some therapies: hydrotherapy (to learn to swim), physio (done at school by a therapist) and we are going to start with rehabilitation therapies for improving the hand-eye coordination. We spend almost all school holiday in Italy with families. Father goes to Toscany or Apulia and mother to Sicily or sometimes to Toscany. School vacation is 12 weeks in total. 1 week in October, 2 weeks in Christmas time, 1 in February, 2 in May and 6 in summer. This means a total stay of 9 months in the Netherlands and 3 months in Italy. Both father and mother are international civil servants. They both live in the area of the international city of The Hague. Father is also busy with music studies. So, piano is played at father's home.

Letter to Au Pair:
You will be hosted at father's place and become a member of the family.

We are looking for a responsible and kids passionate lady who will help about:

- the extensive use of native English to improve or increase children's vocabulary.
School is demanding and we miss an every day vocabulary , which cannot be developed at school where only academics are done.
This means speaking a lot with the children and experience everything in daily life, from cooking to watching a video, from cleaning to play football.
Your main qualities should be "playful" and responsible.

- kindly involving the children in all family activities, of course taking into account their ages and abilities.

- some housework

- Giacomo's exercising.

- keep the English language alive when we go on holiday to Italy

Briefly you are invited to be rather an educator more than just a baby-sitter, as a mum who aims to give the children the tools to stand on their two feet.

Your schedule

Monday morning: free
Monday at 15:00 take the children from school and spend about 3 hours with them at mum's place, which is 30 meters from the school door.

Tuesday morning: as Monday

Wednesday morning:

Wednesday at 12:30: take the children for school and help with wednesday's activities.

Thursday: help the children in the morning and take the bus or the car and pick up the children from school at 15:00 and bring them to father's place (20-30 minutes bus).
Father comes back home at about 17:30-18:30.
2 Fridays a month: like Thursday.
Father comes back from work earlier than Thursday.

The other 2 Fridays a month: just help in the morning.

2 Week-ends a month: free
