I am 23 years old a and finished the secondary school with the A-level (an university-entrance diploma) in 2008 and hold an bachelor's degree in psychology.
In my free time I like sport activities like playing tennis (although I'm not very good at playing tennis yet), snowboarding, swimming (I have a silver swimming badge), and cycling. I love to have social contacts with my family, friends and fellow students. For example, we like to go to the movies or have a good dinner together. I also like reading and educating myself, especially in new languages and about foreign cultures. This last interest leads me to my next hobby: I like travelling very much. I've already been to several European countries, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Dear Host Family,
First of all, I would like to thank you very much for your interest in me! I would like to introduce me shortly, so that you can decide better, if I will fit to your family and whether I am suitable for your needs. There are many reasons why I want to be an Au pair in the U.S. I love taking care of children, being a tutor for them, or just being there for them and see them growing up and getting older. Learning foreign languages has always been one of my favorites in school, so I would love to foster my English language skills and speak more fluently. Plus I am really looking forward to this cultural enrichment: learning about another culture, especially “the American way of life”, experience the foreign country and get to know new people with another background is something that has always been a great appeal to me. I am sure I will make experiences for my life! I would like to give you some examples of what I could imagine doing with your children: I would love going outside with them, doing sports like ball games, going to a playground or to the beach, going to museums or zoos, maybe also arrange playdates with other kids the same age or similar age. If the weather would be bad and we would have to stay inside, depends on what they like to do, maybe playing board games or playing with toys like constructing things with boys or playing with dolls (girls), baking cakes together... Of course it depends on the age and preferences of your children and also on your preferences and expectations. I am very flexible in this regard. In December 2006 I passed my driver’s license. Since then I drive nearly every day with my own car to get around. Because of this I feel very safely and comfortable with driving. I have never had accidents so far. I also attended a first aid course during my driving lessons, which is a pre-condition to get the driver’s license in Germany. Another reason why I would like to go to the U.S. is my passion in travelling. I love to see new countries and to learn about other cultures. I think that the best chance to learn the American way of life is being right in the middle. I love meeting new people and experiencing other perspectives. I would really love to be with your family and take care of your children! Travelling to the United States and experiencing a new lifestyle is my dream for many years now. I am completely aware of your trustability to open your doors for a foreign person and entrust this person your children.
