Description
We're a family of 3 with an 8 year old son. Our family is looking for someone who can help out after school (i.e. carpooling school pick-up with mom) and helping out during school breaks.
Mom works part of the day and would be home after school. We think that having an au pair or nanny to help for the afternoon would allow our son to learn something new from someone besides just mom or having to drive to many after school activities. Homework help, reading, or an activity might be part of the afternoon.
The school year is part-time (after school) for about 15 - 20 hours a week. This would be great for anyone who wants to study, work during the morning, on a Friday or weekend, or pursue something else during off hours. There would be no housekeeping or errands that you would need to do for our family. We are just wanting help in the afternoons during the school year.
During the school breaks, mom mainly works from home, and needs help so that our son is not left on his own to do things during work hours. The school break can be part time or full time depending on if we send our son to camp during the morning. If you feel comfortable doing things for a full day and for 4 weeks of vacation, we are open to that idea. My son loves playing with his legos and has his own interests too.
We're looking for someone who would be interested in joining our family as a live-in and would want something long term (at least a year or more). If you cook or bake or have some hobbies you can share, that would be great too!
The position includes room with wi-fi, cable, separate bath, groceries, and a weekly stipend. Add us as a favorite or contact us by e-mail for more details. Thanks!
